Mimecast Authentication
The next version of Mimecast for Outlook requires 2-step authentication. Below are step-by-step instructions for completing the authentication process.
- When you see this alert notification, you need to re-authenticate Mimecast for Outlook
- Click the Mimecast menu in Outlook, then click Account Settings
- Click the Authenticate button in the Domain Authentication section of the screen
- Enter your password and click Submit Password
- A Verification Code box will appear.
- Go to your Inbox and look for an email from Postmaster with the subject “Here’s your authentication code”
- Open the email and copy the 6 digit number
- Paste that number in the Verification Code box, then click Verify
- When authentication is complete a green check mark with Active will appear for Domain Authentication.
