POSTMASTER MESSAGES in Outlook inform users of Emails that are blocked as spam or suspicious and can be released blocked or permitted from the message links. Mimecast also has tools for managing senders in the MIMECAST menu accessed from the Outlook Client.


1) Open Outlook


2) Click on "Mimecast"




3) Click "On Hold Messages"



4) Find the e-Mail that you want to address, once you find the appropriate e-Mail, click on one of the following items, depending on what you want to do with that particular message or sender:



: Allows the e-Mail to come through the Postmaster

: Denies the e-Mail from coming through the Postmaster


: Adds the sender to a list of trusted e-Mails which allows messages to past through the Postmaster


: Marks the message as spam and notifies the Mimecast teamĀ 


: Marks the messages as Phishing and notifies the Mimecast team
: Adds the sender to a blocked list and prevents future messages from being delivered
